一首优美的抒情歌谣《青山别曲》，只跳跃一朵浪花，就能让人想象出翻涌的大海。把我们从遥远的高丽时代带回了现代社会，揭开了君诚学校“韩国文化周”的序幕。

A beautiful lyric ballad "Farewell to The Mountains", of which one word is “ only one leaping sea spray can make us picture the scene of the rolling sea in our mind’s eye”,  brought us back to today’s society from the ancient Korea era and started "Korean Culture Week" hosted by SIBS.

作为北京最具口碑的国际学校之一，君诚在创校之初就与韩国学生和家长结下了不解之缘。风风雨雨二十年来，君诚海外方向升学率达到了100%，连续获得美本前50院校录取，韩国学生也颇有建树，成绩喜人，很多孩子都拿到了自己的“梦校”Offer；在社区交流方面，韩国家长们非常热情，也一直积极支持学校的各项活动。

As one of the most reputable international schools in Beijing, SIBS has forged an indissoluble bond with Korean students and parents since the establishment. 我们始终认为，多元化的语言环境和文化氛围，可以更好的提升学生的语言能力和跨文化理解，向世界传达他们的观点和情感。“韩国文化周”正是基于这样的教育理念，让身在中国的韩国学生找到“家”的感觉，让君诚其他国家的学生切身感受韩国文化的热情与魅力，最终成为具有批判性思维并且能够通过跨文化的理解和尊重来帮助创造和平美好世界的年轻人。

We always believe that a diversified language environment and multicultural atmosphere can help students improve their language abilities more efficiently and better cross-cultural understanding, form their global view. "Korean culture week" is based on this education idea to make those South Korean students living in China feel at home, and also let those from other countries see the enthusiasm and glamour of the Korean culture and eventually they will become a group of young people with critical thinking and dedicated to creating a peaceful and beautiful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

刚来中国的韩国学生，在学习上遇到的最大问题，也许就是中文了。面对新奇而又陌生的环境以及文化差异，君诚的韩国学生们过的怎么样呢？

The biggest problem for new South Korean students faced in China is the Chinese language. How are SIBS' South Korean students dealing with their lives with unfamiliar surroundings and cultural differences?

“刚来北京的时候…最大的困难就是汉语。那时候我只懂一点儿汉语。只学过简单的汉字，比如火、水、木等等。但是我学过的汉字都是繁体字，跟现在的简体字不一样，而且读音也是完全不一样的。”十年级的张峻赫写道，“来北京一年之后我的想法改变了…我开始交中国朋友了…大部分话都能听懂了，所以我对现在的生活很满意…感谢我的老师们、同学和父母。”

"When I first came to Beijing... the biggest difficulty was Chinese. At that time I only knew a little Chinese. I have only learned simple Chinese characters, such as fire, water, wood, etc. But the Chinese characters I have learned are all traditional characters, which are different from the current simplified characters, and the pronunciation is completely different. " writes Zhang Hejun, a 10th grader, "After coming to Beijing for a year, my thinking has changed. I have started to make Chinese friends. I can understand most of the words, so I am very satisfied with my life now... Thanks to my teachers, classmates, and parents."

有时候他们会很想念在韩国的家人。

Sometimes they miss their family in Korea very much.

“我的爸爸原来在高中的时候是青年国家队的，后来因为受伤和太危险放弃了滑雪…我那时候还小，不知道爸爸的膝盖疼得很严重。我的爸爸陪我滑了一整天，结果他第二天就感冒了。”8年级的Michael写道，“我现在在中国，他在韩国，但是我觉得我们能很快就见面。”

"My dad used to be in the youth national team when he was in high school, but he gave up skiing because of injuries and danger... I was young at the time, and I didn’t know that my dad’s knee hurts badly. My dad accompanies me to ski for a whole time Oh my god, he caught a cold the next day.” Michael, an 8th-grade boy, wrote, “ I’m in China now and he’s in Korea, but I think we can meet soon.”

贴心的君诚老师用韩文和中文一起写下作文的评语。

Warm-hearted SIBS teachers made a remark on the compositions in both Korean and Chinese.

有时候他们在中国庆祝对于韩国人非常重要的中秋节。

They celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in China, which is also very important to Koreans.

“我期待地昂起头望着天空，天空还是阴沉沉的，没有一颗星星，甚至还有一缕缕似有似无的乌云。我可真着急啊！月亮是出去玩了，还是生谁的气，不肯露面？”11年级的Jack写道，“我盼呀、等呀，月亮终于出现了…中秋节难道不应该一起赏月一边吃点月饼吗？我最喜欢吃莲蓉馅的，轻轻咬一口，味道甜甜的，又香又酥，口齿留香。”

"I raised my head expectantly and looked up at the sky, overcast,  were to see no stars, but streaks of clouds flickering in view. I was running out of patience, wondering where the moon had hung out or who it was angry with to hide? “ the 11th grader, Jack, wrote, “ I was expecting and waiting when the moon appeared! Shouldn't we enjoy the full moon together while eating some mooncakes at the Mid-Autumn Festival? I like most to eat the moon cakes with lotus seed paste stuffing. Taking a gentle bite of them, I could feel a sweet taste. They also tasted fragrant and crisp with that feeling always in my mouth. 

有时候他们会帮助班上的同学们一起学习韩国的风土人情。

Sometimes they help their classmates learn about South Korean customs together.

有时候他们会跟同学们一起学习中国的地理知识。

Sometimes they learn about Chinese geography together with their classmates.

有时候他们会参与校园辩论赛，讨论“美术馆着火了，一副名画和一只狗，只能救一个你救谁？”这样的辩题。

Sometimes they will participate in campus debate contests to discuss the debate, "The art gallery is on fire, a famous painting and a dog can only save the one you save?" Such a debate.

当然，他们的英文作业也相当棒！

Of course, their English homework is also quite good!

在君诚老师们的眼里，这群韩国孩子都是什么样的呢？

What do SIBS teachers think of this group of South Korean children in their opinions?

Charlie：作为班级的“运动小达人”，他擅长一切运动，并且乐于去和同学们一起分享竞争的精彩和合作的甜蜜。

Charlie: As the "little athlete" of the class, he is good at all kinds of sports and is willing to share the wonderful competition and happy cooperation with his classmates.

Prince：他是同学口中最可爱的“吉祥物”，他善良，可爱，平易近人，喜欢画画的他经常在黑板上绘出不同且灵动的同窗肖像。
Prince：He is viewed as the most likable “ Mascot” by his classmates. He is kind, lovely, and approachable. He likes painting and often draws different and vivid portraits of his classmates on the blackboard.
Annie：她是同学崇拜的全能学霸，也是同学身边最亲密的朋友。正如她的名字一样，课堂上的她安静且充满智慧。
Annie：She is a student with excellent all-around performance worshipped by her classmates, as well as their closest friend... As her name suggests, she is quiet and intelligent in class.
Michael：他是班级中绅士的代名词，无论何时何地，他永远都勤奋好学、彬彬有礼；他是很多同学心中的爱豆。
Michael：He is such a "gentleman" in his class. Wherever and whenever he is, he is always diligent and courteous; He is the idol of many students.
Gabriel：课堂上，他用不熟练的中文，背出中国的古诗词；茵茵草地间，他年轻的身影，活跃的穿梭奔跑，他就是风一样的阳光少年。
Gabriel: In class, he recited ancient Chinese poems in his unskilled Chinese. On the grassland is a young man who is actively running ceaselessly and absolutely a sunny boy like a strong wind.
Esther：学习态度端正，是一位品学兼优的好学生，在中文数学课上积极发言，善于思考，是一个富有爱心的韩国学生。
Esther: She is a good student with a good learning attitude, excellent character, and learning ability. She speaks actively in Chinese math class and is good at thinking. She is a caring Korean student.
Clara：学习认真刻苦，积极思考，不懂就问；此外，她具有无私奉献精神，积极为同学们检测体温并及时上报，保障了大家的安全。
Clara: She studies very hard, thinks positively, and asks questions without hesitation. In addition, she has the spirit of selfless dedication, actively checking the temperature of their classmates, and timely reporting to ensure everyone's safety.
Stella：率直，聪颖，上进，是她的代名词，绘画天赋很高，班里活动都能够积极参与，在班里这个小团队中发光发热，是一个平凡而不平庸的少年。
Stella: Openness, intelligence, and aspiration are her synonyms. She has a high talent for painting and actively participates in-class activities. She is outstanding in the class and is an ordinary but not a mediocre teenager.Jack：从韩国转学来快一年了，从刚开始对环境及教学的不熟悉，到现在和班级同学打成一片，并且很快展现出在理科方面的优势，成为我校品学兼优的留学生。对于未来，他和家人认真听取升学老师的建议，已经做好充足的准备，相信他会取得很好的成绩和大学录取。
Jack: It has been almost a year since he transferred from South Korea. From the beginning, he was unfamiliar with the environment and teaching, and now he is mingling with his classmates, and quickly showed his talent in science and became an excellent international student in SIBS. For the future, he and his family carefully listened to the advice from the teacher of the college counseling department, and have made sufficient preparations; I believe that he will achieve good grades and get into his dream university.

从老师们的话语里，我们看见了这些孩子们身上美好的东西，这些卓越的品质也会潜移默化地影响身边的同学们。我们期待他们在君诚学习和生活顺利，也希望他们能够在此成长和收获。
